University of Liverpool - Department of Chemistry

Faculty of Science and Engineering

School of Physical Science

A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in the group of Professor A. I. Cooper FRS for a computational chemist who targets step-change advances in functional organic materials, building on our successful programme in porous molecular crystals, such as porous organic cages (Nature, 2011; Nature Chem., 2013; Nature Mater., 2014; Nature Chem., 2015; Nature, 2015; Nature Chem., 2017; Nature 2017) and conjugated polymers for water splitting (JACS, 2015, Angew. Chem., 2016). The role will focus on highly challenging areas of computational approaches to materials design. You will have a PhD in computational chemistry, molecular modelling or related areas and an excellent publication record. The role will focus on highly challenging areas of computational approaches to materials design. The post will form part of an Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council Programme Grant, "Integration of Computation and Experiment for Accelerated Materials Discovery". We particularly seek individuals with a primary interest in working at the interface of cutting edge experiment and computation.

The post is available until the 31 August 2020.
