Marketing Officer IMPACT

Salary: £14,468 to £16,274 per annum (pro rate to FTE of £28,936 to £32,548 per annum) together with USS pension benefits.

IMPACT has been part funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Welsh Government and Swansea University.

The IMPACT Marketing Officer will be responsible for all communication aspects of the operation as well as for organizing all IMPACT events. S/he will deal with all marketing, including copywriting, design, social media, presentation and organisation of events and will also work on a daily basis with staff from different departments within the University and external stakeholders.

The post holder will be expected to have suitable experience in a similar role and be familiar with processes of the University/WEFO or similar organisations. Excellent communication skills including the ability to liaise with external bodies such as WEFO and the Welsh Government will be essential to this role.

The role holder will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring all marketing decisions/budget on the operation. S/he will be managing the marketing activities including print, digital and social media (website management, preparation and distribution of internal and external e-newsletters, implementing a social media strategy covering e.g. Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Flickr and YouTube channel operation publicising, monitoring and promotion).

The role holder will also provide an in-house copywriting function for marketing material where appropriate for print and digital platforms. Extensive knowledge of Adobe programs to use during design processes of automated forms, print media and social media will be required.

The role holder must have a good honours degree or equivalent work experience, and must have experience of working within marketing and communications using social media, print, and digital resources and presentations to a variety of stakeholders to communicant clear messages about a complex operation.
