We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated candidate to our Head of Student Operations role. The role holder will lead and be accountable for frontline services and student lifecycle events delivered by the Student Services Centre, Distance Learning, Timetabling, Examinations and Room Booking teams, including:

  • Student registration;
  • Student enquiries (including self-service facilities);
  • Timetabling and room booking;
  • Examinations, assessment and awards; and,
  • Graduation.

The Head of Student Operations will be joining Academic Services at an exciting time as we help to deliver many of the University's strategic priorities to maximise student success and offer an excellent student experience. Applicants should have a broad understanding of the current opportunities and challenges facing universities and will work with colleagues from across the University to shape our institution-wide student administration services, establishing a culture of customer service excellence and continuous improvement across the teams.

The successful candidate will have operational experience in managing frontline services and be able to demonstrate their ability to deliver service improvements. In addition, they will be able to demonstrate effective communication and people skills which will enable them to lead, motivate and develop a diverse team of professional staff within a rapidly changing environment.
