Digital Communications Assistant

We’re looking to recruit an agile and adaptive digital native for the role of Digital Communications Assistant in the University of Sheffield’s Corporate Communications team. Our content takes audiences into the lecture theatres, hackathons and sports fields of our award-winning student experience and the labs, digs and hospitals of our globally recognised research. You’ll be designing, creating, distributing and evaluating content and campaigns for The University of Sheffield’s social media platforms as well as coordinating community management on our channels and other online spaces where our voice is heard.

We’re looking for a trend-aware content creator who can translate the university’s work, and mission into thumb-stopping copy, video and imagery for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and other social media platforms.

You’ll have experience considering organic, earned and paid approaches to content marketing.

You’ll be comfortable in digital communities and aware of the opportunities and risks they present for brand development and reputational.

You’ll be able to juggle multiple projects, work independently and collaborate at all points in with stakeholders from our team, across the University and beyond.

In return you'll work with some of the most inspiring students and transformative academics around on our digital stories and campaigns. You'll learn from colleagues and students in Corporate Communications’ award-winning Digital Team, across the university and beyond. And you'll contribute to articulating the University's digital voice in a time of global challenges.
