University of Sheffield - Student Lifecycle Project

Contract Type: Fixed-term for 2 years

Salary: Grade 7/8, £30,175 - £46,924 per annum dependent upon assessment of skills and experience.


We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Business Analysts, ideally with excellent knowledge of Higher Education. The post will be working with the Student Lifecycle Project and provides an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the delivering major change initiatives of significant strategic importance.

You will play a key role during the project’s implementation phase, applying your business analysis skills to refine functional and non-functional requirements, develop process models, support system testing and assist with demonstrating the delivery of project benefits.

The role will require you to work closely with the project team, University stakeholders and the supplier to ensure that the solution is delivered according to the required specification. You will have the opportunity to work within an agile delivery team and play an active role in the development and implementation of new processes and capabilities that will enhance the services delivered across the student lifecycle.

It is anticipated that you will be a business analyst with experience supporting the implementation of student information systems to serve a range of student processes. You will be able to plan and progress work activities in the mid to longer term, be well organised, a strong communicator with the ability to engage effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
