Industry Engagement Officer, Creative Industries

Do you have project management experience with the knowledge and understanding of the creative industries sector and the challenges they face? Are you a natural creative problem solver with excellent interpersonal skills?

We are appointing to an exciting new role in Kent Innovation and Enterprise to proactively engage with the creative industries sector to ensure the University maximises opportunities that emerge from the Government's Industrial Strategy and other national and regional funding opportunities.

As Industry Engagement Officer you will:

  • Develop solid relationships and partnerships in all aspects of creative industries relating to the Industrial Strategy.
  • Provide a comprehensive project management support role for the Industrial Engagement Strategy.
  • Assist in the development of a creative industries web presence, updating information, news and funding opportunities.
  • Support monitoring requirements by gathering relevant statistics, updating tracking data and providing reports when required.

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • Proven experience of working within the creative industries sector.
  • Experience of engaging with business and industry.
  • Proven experience and knowledge of conducting research and analysis of business and organisations to identify needs and to develop project proposals.
  • Excellent organisational skills with accuracy and attention to detail.

The office comprises four teams; Business Development, Commercialisation, Student Support and Project Operations and is supported by a dedicated administration team.
