Independent Senior Research Fellowships

The Wellcome Trust Centre for Neuroimaging, part of the UCL Institute of Neurology, seeks to promote the next generation of research leaders. Two positions are available for outstanding early-career researchers to establish their own independent research programmes in the application of non-invasive neuroimaging (MRI, fMRI and/or MEG). The Fellowships will provide salary, research support, free scanning and mentorship for up to 3 years. The appointees will be supported in applying for external awards to consolidate their research group at the Centre.   

Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent in neuroscience or scientific discipline relevant to fMRI or MEG, and an outstanding track record of publishing high quality research results involving fMRI or MEG. They will also need to demonstrate a clear vision for developing new research programmes, the ability to lead and inspire others, and have the potential to act as an ambassador for their research field and the Centre. Experience of supervising or co-supervising students is desirable.

The posts are available for three years in the first instance, with starting date between January and October 2018, and are funded by a Wellcome Trust grant. Starting salary will be on UCL Grade 8 in the range £43,023 - £46,716 per annum inclusive of London Allowance, superannuable.
