Trainee Forestry Consultant

To serve the existing and expanding client base, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Forestry Consultant to support our woodland consultancy. The role will include the implementation and delivery of a significant woodland creation programme, with opportunities to assist in timber sales contracts, restocking, woodland management planning and FGS grant applications throughout central Scotlland and beyond.

The candidate should be highly motivated, able to work by themselves, use their initiative and have a keen attention to detail. Key skills include competence in IT and GIS, effective communication, good time management, and knowledge of the UK Forestry Standard. An understanding of agriculture and conservation would be advantageous.

The successful candidate must have a Degree in forestry or a closely related subject and will preferably be a member of the Institute of Chartered Foresters, or working towards this.

Due to the nature of the role a full driving licence is required.
