Education and Research Officer

MND Scotland

As part of the organisation’s Direct Services Team, you will be responsible for the coordination and management of MND Scotland funded research projects, as well as the development and delivery of informative resources and materials for the charity’s education programme.

MND Scotland is looking for someone to develop and deliver training packages and online resources for health and social care professionals and those affected by MND in Scotland.

Empowering healthcare professionals to provide a better quality of care by working with them to expand their understanding of MND, its symptoms, and the challenges that people with MND, and their families, face on a daily basis.

Furthermore, this role will involve the coordination of all MND Scotland funded research projects. This will include the management of funding applications, peer reviews and research updates from funded projects. Ensuring that MND Scotland continues to work with the brightest minds in MND research to bring us closer to a cure and improving the lives of those living with the condition.

You will be a highly motivated individual, have experience in education and research, have excellent communication skills and enjoy new challenges.

Reporting to the Head of Direct Services, you will:

  • Work in line with the principles and aims of the organisation.
  • Manage your workload efficiently and in accordance with the policies and procedures of the organisation.
  • Assist colleagues in other teams to develop the support they, and the organisation, gives to people affected by MND.
  • Promote and raise awareness of the organisation and its services.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the organisations mission to reduce the impact of MND on the lives of those affected today and provide hope for a world without MND tomorrow.
