Teaching Fellow in Speech and Language Therapy

Part Time: 7.3 hour per week (20%FTE)

UCL invites applications for a part time Teaching Fellow post in Speech and Language Therapy (SLT). The postholder will be primarily responsible for facilitating students' knowledge and skill development, and their application of theory to practice by contributing to professional studies teaching and learning on the MSc Speech and Language Sciences degree, with a focus on acquired communication and swallowing difficulties. The postholder will work closely with colleagues in the acquired teaching team, as well as making links with other departments to develop resources to support inter-professional learning.

The post begins on 4th January 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The ideal candidate must have HCPC registration as a speech and language therapist and full membership of RCSLT. Significant experience of working with clients with acquired communication and swallowing needs and up-to-date knowledge of current theoretical approaches to acquired communication and swallowing disorders is essential for this role. Also, experience of working as a clinical tutor on a pre-registration speech and language therapy (SLT) programme in a UK university is essential.

A recognised post-graduate qualification in teaching and learning in Higher Education is desirable.

The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £38,581 - £41,864 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
