Job Description

The role focusses on supporting the experience of professional learners in their achievement of a Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Diploma – as part of a bigger development programme. The main responsibility is to coach and advise on self-study and essay writing, offering guidance, stimulus, and tutoring support in the progression of the qualification. The role also comprises client care and first-line support, administrative tasks, analytics monitoring and reporting, assignment marking and forum moderation.

The company is expanding fast, and there is room for the role to develop along the way. Potentially to also support the research team and contribute to the organisation’s content production, including regular and widely read publications on the latest thinking and practice in business leadership and management, and where relevant, facilitate and support the delivery of workshops.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Engage with learners about how to succeed in their course, providing a successful learning experience from start to end over a two-year period
  • Coach and support learners in their progression to achieve CMI qualifications
  • Provide customer care, first-line support and information
  • Monitor and report individual progressions, moderate comments and mark assignments
  • Handle administrative tasks including compliance with ESFA, Ofsted and internal procedures
  • Contribute with ideas and content for the development and innovation programmes 

So, what are we looking for?

  • A minimum 2:1 BA/BSc degree. Masters or PhD degree preferred
  • A degree or higher degree in business management and leadership or related topics would be advantageous
  • A person who can meet learners on “their ballpark” and help them bridge the gap between their professional experience and achieving a theoretical fundament for being a successful manager and leader in business
  • Tutoring or educational coaching experience is highly desirable
  • A customer-oriented, enthusiastic attitude
  • Experience of employment in the commercial sector would be an advantage
  • Faultless communication skills, both written and verbal
