PA to Bursar

Murray Edwards College is seeking a Personal Assistant to work in the Bursar’s office, assisting the Bursar with the day to day running of the Bursar’s office.

This is a role requiring a high degree of initiative as the person will work largely independently in this key supporting role. The role demands the skills of an efficient PA who will undertake the standard skills of such a support role, including proactive diary and schedule management, monitoring e-mails, drafting correspondence and committee minutes, and document handling.

This role also supports the HR Manager with HR administration and covers for the PA to the President and the College Administrator on occasions. 

Demonstrable competence and skill in a similar PA role (i.e. supporting a senior executive) is fundamental to this role, including experience of handling correspondence and varied documentation, pro-active diary management and call handling, minute taking, audio typing and schedule management. A high degree of expertise and initiative is required, as is sound judgment and diplomacy.

The preferred candidate will be educated to at least A ‘level, with excellent interpersonal and diplomacy skills, the ability to work independently yet collaboratively, with a high degree of integrity. Salary for the role is £28,500-£30,000pa for this full-time role.
