The University wishes to appoint a Learning Technologist to work within Academic Support, Technology and Innovation.  You will work with staff to support and develop the use of learning technologies in teaching, learning, assessment and research.

The role involves providing advice, guidance and support for a number of technology enhanced learning initiatives. Your activities will include advocating the use of learning technologies and help staff on the design, development and evaluation of learning resources. This is achieved through a programme of courses, workshops and events, providing occasional informal 1:1 support, and creating and delivering online support materials. There will be opportunities take part in horizon scanning activities and participate in researching new and innovative approaches.

You will have demonstrable knowledge of teaching theory and have significant experience of using web and multimedia technologies to develop Technology Enhanced Learning materials. Evidence of using and supporting a range of educational learning services, such as Moodle, PebblePad, Xerte, audience response systems, etc. is advantageous. You will be expected to have excellent communication skills, be able to work as an effective member of the team and be adaptable to the demands of working in an area of rapid change and development. You will be able to demonstrate self-leadership and an ability to move ideas into action.

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a fixed-term basis for a period of 12 months.
