The University Hospitality department isn't just about student catering. We have 11 outlets on campus and we're expanding. As well as catering to students, we host large conferences and banquets. We are looking for an Assistant Hospitality Supervisor to supervise and work as part of the Food Direct team to ensure that the customer experience is optimised. This team is responsible for delivering hospitality to meetings, conferences and events around campus. We are looking for the right person to fit within the team, willing to work in any other area when needed and to share knowledge to make the team stronger.

The successful candidate will have the ability to motivate the team and excellent standards of customer service in a customer focused environment. The candidate will also be confident providing team members with operational training. You will have knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations, licencing laws and work well as part of a team. You will need to demonstrate the ability to lead, motivate and form effective relationships with team members. You will need the ability to remain calm under pressure, as it can be extremely busy over peak times

The role includes early morning, evening and weekend working on a 5 out of 7 days per week contract (36.5 hours per week).
