We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced and research-committed teacher educator to join the senior leadership team of the School of Teacher Development. You will assume strategic leadership for primary & early years ITE provision within the School, with oversight of over 500 students studying undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, working in partnership with educational settings throughout the East Midlands. You will lead a successful team of 26 committed academics and will undertake a diverse range of leadership, management, teaching and other academic duties.

The post carries significant responsibilities and we are seeking an ambitious and inspirational leader, with exceptional interpersonal skills, who will contribute to the School’s diversification into research, consultancy and international activity.

Building upon an outstanding institutional heritage in teacher training, the School of Teacher Development is currently undergoing an exciting phase of growth, and we have recently secured a multiple year allocation for our highly regarded ITE provision. Our most recent OFSTED inspection (2015) highlighted a “vision of excellence” and “training of the highest quality”. We also achieved a 4* rating in Education in the 2014 REF, a TEF Gold rating and we consistently secure sector leading employability and student satisfaction scores. Our academics are engaging in educational research and consultancy around the world, and we offer a friendly and supportive learning community on our attractive campus in historic Lincoln.
