Technician (fixed term)

Salary: £22,494 to £26,829 per annum (pro-rata if offered a job share) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited to the above role to provide technical support to Synthetic Biology Research Centre (SBRC)-Nottingham research projects. You would plan and oversee the technical day-to-day running of the research laboratory, allocating resources and planning and providing technical supervision/training in the use of equipment and techniques in the area of molecular biology to relevant staff/students to ensure objectives are met.

You must have a minimum of an HNC in relevant subject, or equivalent plus considerable work experience in relevant role OR substantial work experience in a relevant role. Essential to the role is a knowledge of standard laboratory techniques and procedures, good microbiological laboratory practice, use of general lab equipment and existing skills in microbiology.

This full-time fixed-term post is available until 30 July 2019. The post is open to a job share.
