Healthcare Assistant - Surgical Research Team

We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant who is an excellent team player to join the Surgical Research Team (SRT) at the Churchill Hospital.

The postholder will be responsible for arranging follow-up appointments for patients recruited to a number of oncology studies; completing research documentation, taking clinical observations, performing phlebotomy and other clinical requirements as required. They will be involved with the collection and processing samples as specified as well as other laboratory based tasks. The postholder will be responsible for maintaining the study related clinical data.

The successful candidate will have strong IT skills (including Microsoft Office) and will have excellent communication skills. You will be able to work independently and possess good negotiation and team working skills. GCP training and up to date venepuncture certification would be advantageous, but training in all study and laboratory specific tasks relating to the study will be provided.

This full-time post is available immediately and is fixed-term for 12 months in the first instance. Flexible working patterns can be offered, and we would be willing to consider applications for part-time hours.
