School Administration Manager

Working in collaboration with Professional Services Departments across the University, you will provide administrative, management and key services, through a team of professional services staff, which supports the infrastructure, decision making processes and strategy of the school and the wider faculty.

As a School Administration Manger you will:

  • Manage and develop all business, governance and administrative services within the school through a team of professional services staff, to ensure that the school delivers the administrative requirements of the University and that effective controls are in place to comply with University regulations and the requirements of external bodies.
  • Lead and manage the professional services team (including recruitment, induction, development and training) to maximise its contribution to the University; review the resource so that it meets the current and future needs of the school in line with faculty and University expectations.
  • Manage all student administration processes in a timely manner and engage with students and student representatives to overcome any obstacles to study or problems students may face, ensuring student success and that students have a positive perception of the school.

To succeed in this role you will:

  • Have a relevant first degree or equivalent professional qualification or experience.
  • Have an excellent track record of staff management and managing teams including the motivation and development of staff
  • Have previous experience of overseeing finances for a part of an organisation, including managing budgets/resources and preparation of financial information.
  • Have a broad understanding of the Higher Education Sector and the key issues affecting Higher Education and how these impact across the University.
