The Careers & Employability team are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual for this exciting new position.

You will play a vital role in supporting the delivery and expansion of the Global Talent Programme (GTP) at Bournemouth University (BU), our pioneering extra-curricular offer promoted and offered to all undergraduate and postgraduate students at BU. With 600 students enrolled on the GTP in its first year alone, our plans are to double participation year on year until 2020.

This programme is a key expression of our commitment to the Fusion of education, research and professional practice to ensure that we develop our students as future-ready global workforce through over 110 activities, events, games and industry exposure opportunities.

The GTP has been co-designed and co-delivered in partnership with a number of regional, national and international employers, ensuring that the programme remains industry relevant for future graduates and responds to industry demands.

We want our graduates, employees and the region’s businesses to shine, thrive and stand out in the global economy. This post holder will therefore be pivotal to supporting the development and growth of the programme amongst students, staff and external participants.  

You will assist the Global Talent Programme Officer in the organisation of events and sessions for the programme and will play a vital role in the day to day administration of the GTP.

You will be the first point of contact for all GTP enquiries (by mail, telephone, email and face to face) providing professional, appropriate, timely, and customer-focussed information, advice and guidance to a range of stakeholders and through a variety of channels.

Under the supervision of the GTP Officer, you will take responsibility for the operational development of the CRM system – the ‘GTP Portal’ and will process new student requests for registration and maintain accurate records of all students registered.

Due to the popularity of the GTP programme, this will be a very busy and demanding role, so time management, strong organisational skills, attention to detail, tact, diplomacy and sensitivity and a flexible work approach is necessary.

Excellent IT and general administrative skills are essential along with the ability to work under minimum supervision on occasions.

This post is available part-time for 25 hours per week.
