University of Warwick - Warwick Medical School, Clinical Trials Unit

Following considerable success in the award of new research funding in the area of health economics, we are seeking to appoint to a new position at Senior Research Fellow grade. You will join the Warwick Clinical Trials Unit (WCTU) and work closely with clinicians based at Warwick Medical School and the local University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire National Health Service Trust to develop and conduct innovative trials and observational studies that are framed by economic objectives. You will be encouraged to participate more broadly in the WCTU’s portfolio of health economics research and teaching activities. You will also be strongly encouraged to develop or integrate novel methodological research into the work programme. Training will be provided to develop skills to undertake high quality applied and methodological research across a number of different study designs.
You will have a PhD (or equivalent) in health economics or a related discipline. A proven interest in conducting economic evaluations is essential as is some experience of using statistical software (e.g. SPSS, STATA or SAS), coupled with the ability and potential to produce high quality health economics research relevant to the health sciences. A track record of producing high quality health economics research relevant to the health sciences is essential, as evidenced from publications in high-impact journals.

This post is also being advertised as a Research Fellow, with one appointment to be made.
