An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Institute for Global Prosperity (IGP) for a Deputy Director/Research Co-ordinator and Data Manager.

The main purpose of the role of Deputy Director/Research Co-ordinator and Data Manager is:

  • To assist in the strategic leadership and management of research of the ESRC-funded RELIEF Project within the IGP, and to manage research projects, their  planning, delivery, financial management and outcomes.
  • To contribute to the delivery of strategic objectives.
  • To manage research staff, including recruitment and training.
  • Implement the IGP’s strategic operating plan for research co-ordination and data management.
  • To assume overall responsibility for the collation, analysis, management and visualisation of research data. These data sets are highly complex, involving international partners, and require meticulous attention to detail and compliance with data collection guidance and regulations.

This post is funded until 31 March 2022 in the first instance.

The successful postholder will be educated to PHD Level and have significant knowledge of UK University Teaching, Research, Administration and Funding.

The postholder will also be able to demonstrate a track record of successful applications for external funding and in strategic Development and Planning.
