REF Project Manager

University of Central Lancashire - Research Services

Basis:  Fixed term contract for 3 years

An opportunity has arisen for a proactive, dynamic and decisive individual to drive, plan and manage the University’s preparation, planning, analysis and collation of our REF submission and associate projects to successful completion. The successful individual will join 2 REF Managers who recently started their roles. With 3 REF Managers in post, each will lead in one or more of the following areas: research outputs, research impact, research environment/culture, research income and postgraduate research.

Utilising experience of previous REF submission activity and experience of analysing and modelling REF data, the successful applicants will play a pivotal role in helping the university to achieve 4* research outputs. The successful applicant will have the ability to lead the design and development of projects and associated strategies and manage resources effectively. Educated to higher degree or with significant relevant professional experience, the successful applicant will have excellent organisation, project management and leadership skills. With excellent influencing, networking and communication skills, the successful applicant will successfully convey complex information to a variety of audiences.
