An exciting opportunity has arisen within our fast-paced Marketing, Recruitment, Admissions and Communications department for a Digital Content Assistant to act as a key support role to the web content management team that maintains the information on the University of Surrey web pages.

The Digital Content Assistant is primarily responsible for managing the course pages on the website and implementing requests in the content management system (CMS) that are sent via the team’s mailbox. In addition, the Digital Content Assistant supports the delivery of projects for the website, including creating new sections and maintaining homepage information.

The post holder will be expected to managing the workflow within the web support mailbox and all requests that are emailed from stakeholders so organisational skills are a must. Planning the delivery of requests will be key, as well as ensuring timelines are clearly communicated to stakeholders.

The post holder will work closely with the Digital Editor and Digital Content Coordinators to understand the best practice content guidelines for online and implement accordingly. Excellent communication skills are essential for this role as the post holder will be the clear communicator within the team, as well as to wider stakeholders from across the University. The post holder also liaises with internal stakeholders to ensure content is in line with best practice guidelines before use.
