Based at Amersham Campus with travel to Wycombe and Aylesbury campuses as required

The purpose of this job is to provide system administration and technical support on a range of Learning Technology systems. The post-holder will also assist students and staff with the use of Learning Technology. They will also assist with the development of Learning Technology systems in line with the College ILT Strategy

Specific duties: 

  1. To deliver outstanding customer service and technical support by effectively meeting the Learning Technology support needs of staff and students.
  2. To support the development of the College VLE in conjunction with the Digital Learning & Innovation Manager and the College ILT Strategy.
  3. To provide technical support and administration of student tracking systems (ProMonitor) and e-ILPs (ProPortal, OneFile etc.).
  4. To support the system administration and development of the College Intranet in conjunction with the Digital Learning & Innovation Manager.
  5. To develop online learning using the VLE and e-learning authoring tools (e.g. Articulate) for students, staff and external projects.
  6. To assist staff in the use of Learning Technology systems and equipment e.g. VLE, Chromebooks, iPads and Smartboards.
  7. To support the use of online resources within Directed Study and Digital Skills sessions.
  8. To produce reports using spreadsheet programs (Microsoft Excel) to meet the needs of stakeholders.
  9. To provide cover and assist in the Learning Centre and Directed Study.
