UNNC is part of the University of Nottingham’s Global University, and offers unique teaching and research opportunities in a highly dynamic economy.

The successful candidate will maintain high standards of teaching, and contribute generally to the development of teaching, teaching methods, and assessment in the School. They would be expected to organise and run small group teaching in any of the core areas of economics (i.e. Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Econometrics) as well as their own specialist sub-disciplinary fields. There would also be opportunities to lecture and supervise dissertations. They would also be expected to take an active role in teaching administration and the wider development of teaching within the School.

We welcome applications from recent PhD graduates and from those close to award but applicants must have relevant teaching experience. Candidates are expected to have a PhD (or be closed to completion) in economics. Although this is a teaching post, research active scholars are preferred and a competitive research support package for candidates showing good research output. Those with research and teaching interests in Macroeconomics, Monetary, Financial, and/or Health Economics are particularly encouraged to apply.

Salary will be within the range of RMB299,872 - RMB358,062 per annum depending on skills and experience (salary progression beyond this is subject to performance). In addition, an attractive package including accommodation allowance, travel allowance, and insurance will be provided for international appointments.

The post will initially be offered on a fixed-term contract with the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China for a period of up to 3 years starting 26 February 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter. This contract may be extended on an indefinite basis by mutual agreement.
