Swansea University Research Excellence PhD Scholarships

Swansea University

Swansea University has been delivering postgraduate excellence since 1920, a legacy that we’re proud to continue today. In 2017, we were delighted to be named the ‘Welsh University of the Year 2017’ by The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide, and winners of the ‘Postgraduate’ category at the WhatUni? Student Choice Awards.

We are a UK top 30 university for research excellence (Research Excellence Framework 2014), with a reputation for outstanding research that continues to grow. We recognise how important our students are in producing world-changing research, which is why we’re offering 15 fully-funded PhD scholarships for those commencing study in October 2018 or January 2019.

The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of student excellence across a portfolio of 34 potential projects. Scholarships are now open for applications across each of our seven Academic Colleges:

  • College of Arts & Humanities
  • College of Engineering
  • College of Human & Health Sciences
  • College of Science
  • Hillary Rodham Clinton School of Law
