You will provide technical expertise and knowledge within the Desktop Specialists Team and ensure UEL’s students and staff receive the highest quality experience for their workspace services. This includes provision of desktop, laptop, tablet, and BYOD services.

The role holder will be responsible for the management and operation of Jamf Pro and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM). This includes fine tuning and upgrading of Jamf Pro infrastructure and architecture, developing and optimising macOS provisioning as well as working with Policies and Configuration Profiles. The role holder will be required to manage distribution points, boundaries, application packaging (PKG, DMG, MSI, APPV, Script), User and Device Collections/Smart Groups, patch management, compliance settings, endpoint protection and reporting.

Educated to degree level or have equivalent practical experience and/or extensive experience in a similar role within the HE Sector. Reporting to the Head of IT Infrastructure through the Senior Desktop Support Specialist and Enterprise Workspace Manager, you will have responsibility for the operational development, management and delivery of macOS, Windows and mobile endpoint devices with supporting Jamf Pro, SCCM and Intune infrastructure, actively contributing to the achievement of customer satisfaction and SLA/OLA targets as well as form strong working relationships across the University and externally.
