University of Oxford - Development Office

University Offices

Grade 8: £39,992 - £47,722 with a discretionary range to £52,132 p.a.

The University of Oxford aims to lead the world in research and education. Our researchers engage with academic, commercial and cultural partners globally to stimulate high-quality research and enable innovation through a broad range of social, policy and economic impact. Oxford’s medical researchers are also leading the fight against the world’s most pressing health challenges, including dementia, cancer, mutating influenza viruses, Ebola, Zika and HIV/AIDS.

This is an exceptionally exciting time for Medical Sciences at Oxford as we continue to grow and expand our Development income to support our vital work. A crucial part of this will be a new team of Senior Development Executives, who will work with some of the world’s top medical scientists across a number of departments. You will be part of a high performing and highly motivated Development team, raising funds to support Oxford’s ground-breaking work through a range of high-profile projects. Managing your own donor portfolio across diverse income streams including individuals and trusts & foundations, you will be translating world leading science into compelling projects for a range of funders.

In order to make this a success, you will possess diplomacy, creativity and outstanding communication skills, and be able to operate comfortably in a large, complex institution with multiple stakeholders. Intellectually curious, you will be a graduate or equivalent with an interest in the impact of scientific research on global health issues, you will have the credibility and confidence to influence at the highest level and engage others in our goals at Oxford.

Although experience of fundraising in the higher education sector is highly desirable, individuals coming from the broader non-profit or private sectors will also be considered.
