Senior Lecturer in Dietetics

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a committed team with a long-established history of excellence in the delivery of Dietetic and Nutrition education and research. We are looking for an inspiring and enthusiastic Practitioner/ academic with expertise in Dietetics to make a key contribution to our academic provision through teaching, research and enterprise. The post holder will provide high-quality teaching, learning and assessment in the area of dietetics and nutrition to nutrition and dietetic courses in the School of Clinical and Applied Science, across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Contribution to the management and development of courses and curriculum development, the delivery of research and enterprise activity and maintaining a professional and research profile are also essential.

You should be a Registered Dietitian, with recent experience of working in a dietetic related field, and of teaching and research activities. You will be expected to contribute to the ongoing development of practice placement opportunities for students and to personal tutoring. You should have undertaken formal post registration qualifications (PhD) or have a related Master’s degree qualification and significant professional experience. A commitment to work as part of a team to develop the knowledge base in Dietetics and Nutrition and to maintaining your own continuing professional development while playing an active role in the teaching, development and administration of Dietetic programmes is also essential.
