Senior Lecturer in Medicine

We are seeking to appoint a registered Medical Practitioner as a Senior Lecturer in Medicine as part of our ongoing development of sector-leading education of Physician Associates, Clinical Science students and Pharmacists at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and aligned with the University's ambition to open a new Medical School.

You will work closely with the Physician Associate Programme Director and Director of Postgraduate Clinical Education and the Clinical Sciences Course Director to help co-ordinate and deliver a range of medical topics and clinical skills to postgraduate Physicians Associate Students and to Clinical Sciences students who are undertaking studies aligned to an undergraduate medical curriculum. The post holder will be Medical Director for the Physician Associate programme.

We seek a medical practitioner with significant experience and commitment to teaching across a range of medical topics.You will join an innovative team with a suite of integrated undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and excellence in research with a focus on training for improving health outcomes. You will take a proactive role in developing new learning materials alongside our highly experienced and supportive team. We use a range of innovative pedagogical methods including Team-based Learning.

The post holder will have the opportunity to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students undertaking research work and to participate in research activities in the School.

The post holder must be in good standing with the General Medical Council.  A time allowance will be provided so that the post holder can hold honorary clinical contract to maintain registration.
