An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) in the role of Business Liaison Officer for the ERDF funded Health Innovation Campus (HIC) project. The Business Engagement Team within LUMS undertakes outstanding work in the fields of executive education, customised programmes and business support.  Our programmes support North West Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs), delivering a range of activities that include utilising the resources of the Management School student base to work on the business support needs of SMEs.

The Health Innovation Campus is a pioneering new project that will bring together innovators, academics, entrepreneurs, businesses, local government, citizens and health care providers.  The aim of the development, based beside the University's Bailrigg campus, is to drive advances in technologies, products and ways of working to improve health and healthcare.  The vision is to create a world-class centre of excellence for innovation and research in population health.

Supporting the HIC is a £2 million revenue project to provide  300  SMEs  with  a  range  of  opportunities  to  accelerate  digital innovation  into  the  health  and  care  marketplace,  from  interventions  via  masterclasses to  raise awareness  of  opportunities  within  sector  and  thematic  workshops  to  explore  challenges  and enhance  innovation.  There  will  be  intense  development  and  applied  research  programmes  to support  commercialisation  of  new  products  and  processes.

As Business Liaison Officer you will develop and build networks and relationships with partners and stakeholders, specifically those in the healthcare sector and other intermediaries in the region for the purposes of dissemination and recruitment to the Health Innovation Campus project
