The Department hosts and is linked to many international research centres and groups. Units in the School were identified by REF 2014 as has having a very strong research culture and innovation in research methodology.

The studentship is central to developing and sustaining the Department’s research strengths in critical international politics and war and peace studies.  We are also keen to recruit students to areas recognised as world-leading in REF 2014, including nationalism and migration and European comparative politics.
