We are seeking an exceptional Director of Human Resources with the expertise, skill and personal attributes to provide inspirational leadership and strategic direction to the Human Resources Directorate and University.

As a key member of the University Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for providing the strategic and operational HR framework that supports the University in recruiting, retaining and developing outstanding staff and will play a key role in the University’s transformation programme which was launched earlier this year. The Director of Human Resources will provide a key interface across all areas of the University and have the ability to build strong working relationships with senior managers, stakeholders, unions and suppliers.

You will have proven experience of offering robust and expert HR advice and ensuring good practice is followed. This post will be based in High Wycombe, with travel to our campuses in Uxbridge, Aylesbury and Missenden Abbey.

You will be a proven HR leader, ideally with director level experience, with a track record of delivering a strategic HR agenda within a complex organisation. You will be CIPD qualified and educated to a degree level standard or equivalent, be familiar in the management of complex HR issues and large scale change.

Experience of working in a Higher Education environment would be advantageous, but not essential.
