This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Research Fellow to coordinate the activities of the NeoAMR observational, cohort study. The study is part of a global project aiming to develop new empiric antibiotic regimens and strategies for the treatment of neonatal sepsis in settings with varying prevalence of Multi Drug Resistance (MDR) pathogens.

The post holder will have strong links with other research teams linked to the project and the Paediatric Infectious Diseases Research Group (PIDRG), part of the Institute of Infection and Immunity, whose research involves trials in epidemiology of neonatal infections and the optimal use of antimicrobials.

The successful candidate will assist with the project design and conduct of the prospective multinational, observational, cohort study and protocol and study documents approval process. You will be expected to demonstrate intellectual ability and a significant degree of creativity to devise varied solutions.

The post specifically requires an appointment of an individual with Medical degree, full GMC registration and interest in infectious diseases. This role is suitable for an individual at PhD level.

The post holder may also be required to attend international meetings to present project results and to visit participating sites.

The salary for this position will be within the CFR range: £32,478 - £51,175 per annum plus London Allowance of £2,162.
