ERDF Project Administrative Support Officer (Health Innovation Campus)

Lancaster University - Business Engagement

This is an exciting and critical new role which has been created to support Lancaster’s new Health Innovation Campus (HIC). The University seeks to appoint a Project Administrative Support Officer to administer the European Regional Development Funding (ERDF) associated activity which is part of a £41M first phase of initial investment.

The Health Innovation Campus is a pioneering new project that will bring together innovators, academics, entrepreneurs, businesses, local government, citizens and health care providers. The aim of the development, based beside the University's Bailrigg campus, is to drive advances in technologies, products and ways of working to improve health and healthcare. The vision is to create a world-class centre of excellence for innovation and research in population health.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) in the role of Project Administrative Support Officer for the ERDF HIC project.

You will work closely with the Project Delivery Manager in LUMS and colleagues across the University to provide a comprehensive range of high quality administrative support to the HIC project, specifically regarding the co-ordination and planning of events and associated record keeping.

This is an ERDF funded project that requires accurate audit requirements to be adhered to at all times and it is anticipated that the ideal candidate would have previous experience of administering externally funded projects.

Responsible for the co-ordination of a large number of events and workshops over the course of the project, you will be well organised, have excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines.

Accuracy and attention to detail are key, alongside strong IT, literacy and numeracy skills. You will be responsible for the oversight of a database of companies on the project and ensuring that the records of these companies in electronic and physical form are kept up to date.

We are seeking to appoint 1x full time and 1x part-time (0.5 FTE) position; please identify within your covering letter which role you are applying for.

The post is subject to funding being awarded by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund Programme 2014-2020 and is offered on a fixed term basis until 31 December 2020 in the first instance.

We welcome applications from people in all diversity groups.
