We are seeking a new Scholarly Communications Manager to lead and develop Library and Learning Services’ support for research. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a friendly and innovative service, leading a small team and developing links with key stakeholders, including UEL’s research office and academic colleges.

You will manage, develop and promote open access for UEL’s research outputs and appropriate management of UEL’s research data. You will act as institutional repository manager and play a key role in the development of a current research information system (CRIS).   

Educated to degree level with excellent knowledge of the research lifecycle and the UK scholarly communications landscape. Your expertise will help lead our institutional repository provision and ensure that we meet the requirements of HEFCE and research funders. Experience of managing or administering an open access or research data repository and knowledge of current developments in repository systems and functionality is essential.

A successful external candidate for this position would be employed by UEL Professional Services Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of UEL.
