Development Technologist - KTP Associate

Xeros and the University of Northampton are offering the opportunity to be part of a cutting edge R&D project, using polymer spheres, to reduce water and chemical consumption in tanneries. This role will be key to the development of sustainable technology to replace conventional technologies.

The position is funded through the acclaimed Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) scheme which is a Government supported initiative, enabling you to work in a partnership between a business and a university. An opportunity to fast track your career by managing a strategic project. The previous KTP Associate is a full time employee at Xeros in the role of Polymer Operations Manager. 

The Associate will be an employee of the University and will be based at Xeros premises at the University of Northampton at Park Campus, but travel will be required to Rotherham. Throughout the KTP you will;

  • Play a key role in managing a high profile project
  • Have access to a £4,000 professional development and training budget
  • An opportunity to undertake a M.Phil
  • Receive professional development with management residential training
  • Receive mentoring and support from academic staff and industry professionals

 Qualifications & Skills

  • Recent Degree or Master’s Degree in scientific / technical field
  • Ability to grasp technological concepts and develop new technologies and industrial processes
