PhD Studentship: Art, Activism and Resistance: the Politics of Code

University of Southampton - Winchester School of Art - Archaeologies of Media & Technology Research Group

We invite applications for projects that will investigate the ways in which data is used in alternative and creative ways as a political tool to encourage discussions around social and political change. We welcome applications from prospective PhD students wishing to engage with questions of power, democracy and identity and the ways they intersect with artistic and creative practices. We encourage proposals that interrogate social and political inequality in intersectional ways.
