A postdoctoral research associate position is available for an outstanding and ambitious RF/microwave/millimetre-wave engineer to undertake research in the field of high frequency graphene/2D-materials electronics for IoTs applications. Based in the Schools of Physics & Astronomy and Electrical & Electronic Engineering you will develop graphene and other 2D materials devices, such as sensors and reconfigurable antennas, as well as printable RFID enabled sensing solutions for IoT applications. The project is funded by the EPSRC.

You will hold, or be about to obtain, a PhD in RF/microwave engineering, physics or a closely aligned field. Expertise in RF/microwave antennas and devices is essential and previous experience in electromagnetism and graphene/2D-materials device fabrication and characterization are highly desirable. Know-how and knowledge on synthesizing graphene and other 2D materials inks would be an advantage.

You should have proven ability to work independently, possess strong mathematical and data analysis skills, and be able to present results in an effective manner. You should be able to interact effectively with researchers from other disciplines and industrial partners. Excellent written and oral communication skills are also essential.
