Are you a Researcher with a background in animal welfare science, looking for a role where you can contribute towards improving canine welfare? 

The Dogs Trust Research Team is looking for a Research Assistant to join our Head Office-based team on a permanent basis.

Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK, with a nationwide network of rehoming centres and charity shops.  Last year, Dogs Trust centres cared for over 15,000 dogs; we never put a healthy dog down.

Dogs Trust's Research Team provides in-house capacity to inform our work with robust evidence. You would be working as part of a team whose aim is to ensure that policy, practice and operational activity is based in the best available evidence. Dogs Trust undertakes a range of research projects to generate evidence to support our own work and to inform advice given to external parties involved in canine welfare.

Reporting to one of the Research Officers, the aim of this position is to support the day to day work of Dogs Trust's Head Office Research Team across a range of projects.  To be successful in this role you will have undergraduate experience of animal science research.  You will have excellent communication skills, be organised and efficient, be a team player who is comfortable working on a range of tasks according to the varying needs of the Research Team and the other departments that we support.
