Senior Research Associate

The School of Economics is seeking to appoint a postdoctoral senior research associate for an ESRC project ‘The Network for Integrated Behavioural Science: The Science of Consumer Behaviour’.  This project aims to develop realistic models of consumer behaviour and decision processes and to examine the implications of behavioural science for the operation and regulation of firms and markets.  Working with Professors Amelia Fletcher, Bruce Lyons, Robert Sugden and Theodore Turocy, you will use theoretical modelling and behavioural economic experiments to investigate interactions between ‘behavioural’ consumers, profit-seeking firms, and regulators.

You must have a PhD, or equivalent qualification, in Economics or a cognate discipline, or be nearing completion with submission within 4 months of commencement in post and award within 12 months of commencement in post) and be able to satisfy all other essential criteria in the person specification.

The post is available on a full-time, fixed-term basis for three years from 4 April 2018, or as soon as possible thereafter.
