Research Associate Freshwater Ecosystems

The successful post holder will undertake research in freshwater ecosystems research and contribute to the overall research performance of the School and University, carrying out research leading to work publishable in high-quality journals. To pursue excellence in research and to inspire others to do the same.The appointee will mainly work on data from the NERC Duress project on Biodiversity and Ecosystem service Sustainability and the EU-funded MARS project (Managing Aquatic ecosystems and water Resources under multiple Stress), investigating the impact of multiple stressors on stream biodiversity and ecosystem function.
The successful candidate will have a i) relevant PhD in freshwater ecology, ii) experience in the analysis of large scale data sets, as well as iii) evidence of outstanding writing skills

This position is fixed-term for 6 months and is available from 1 January 2018.  This is a full-time position of 35 hours per week.
