Full Time Post: 36.25 hours per week 

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who wants to join our creative and dynamic team to help ensure that our information resources are accurately described and easily discoverable.

Library & Student Services (LSS) strives to be innovative, inclusive and anticipatory in the delivery of integrated services, which enable and empower students to realise their full academic potential. The Collections Team is responsible for ensuring that information resources are acquired, described, discoverable, processed and licensed appropriately.

Working under the direction of the Collections Development Manager, and in accordance with the University’s Collection Development Policy Framework, the Data Quality Librarian is responsible for the provision of high quality catalogue and metadata records to ensure resources are easily and effectively discoverable, thereby enhancing learning, teaching and research.

We are looking for self-motivated individual with experience of cataloguing and classification to international standards, with excellent organisational skills and a high level of accuracy in their work.

The Library & Student Services seeks to continually improve services.  The role requires flexibility and a willingness to learn new skills and knowledge.  The University actively encourages staff development and training.  The post holder is expected to participate in a programme of continuous development to ensure the effective performance of duties assigned to the post and to meet institutional and personal goals as agreed with line managers.
