Data Analyst

Cardiff University - School of Law and Politics

Cardiff School of Law and Politics has a short term exciting opportunity for a data analyst to work on a range of data analysis projects that will help inform a large curriculum review exercise and preparations for the next Research Excellence Framework (REF) exercise.

We are looking for an experienced data analyst who is comfortable with analysing data from a variety of data sources and management information systems across the University and from external sources (e.g. HEIDI plus). The successful candidate would ideally have some experience of working within a Higher Education environment in order to contextualise the data that they are working with and should be able to clearly visualise their analysis in order to communicate with a mixed audience.

Secondments will also be considered. This is a good opportunity for a move into a more challenging role, or to gain experience working at School level. Please discuss with your line manager before applying.

This is a full-time position of 35 hours per week, fixed term for a period of 6 months and is available immediately.

Please be aware that Cardiff University reserves the right to close this vacancy early should sufficient applications be received.

Cardiff University is committed to supporting and promoting equality and diversity and to creating an inclusive working environment. We believe this can be achieved through attracting, developing, and retaining a diverse range of staff from many different backgrounds who have the ambition to create a University which seeks to fulfil our social, cultural and economic obligation to Cardiff, Wales, and the world.  In supporting our employees to achieve a balance between their work and their personal lives, we will also consider proposals for flexible working or job share arrangements.
