£39,992 to £47,722 per annum, with potential to progress to £53,691 per annum through sustained exceptional contribution

We have an exciting opportunity for someone with strong technical leadership skills and the ability to steer the technical direction of the AMRC North West team whilst ensuring projects are delivered successfully. You will join the AMRC North West at inception and play a part in placing Lancashire amongst the most innovative regions in the UK, joining a well-connected team with world-leading reputations.

You will use your knowledge of digital manufacturing systems and your understanding of lean production, to provide essential support and leadership to the AMRC North West team.

In this varied and dynamic role, you will be responsible for numerous concurrent projects, for a range of partners and funding bodies, expended to a wider delivery team. You will also develop technical solutions and ideas for project staff to adopt and progress.

With responsibility for of at least four staff and a project portfolio of £500k per annum you will add substantial benefit by steering the technical direction of AMRC North West. Other key aspects of the role will include regular communication and formal reporting to project teams, stakeholders and customers whilst maintaining a high reputation through the projects’ delivery and customer engagement.

You will:

  • Be educated to degree level (or equivalent experience)
  • Have a strong background in high voltage DC electrical systems
  • Have the ability to motivate and lead others.

As you will be responsible for a small team experience of reviewing individual/team progress and performance and embedding organisational strategy into individual performance planning would be an advantage.
