Department of Cultural and Creative Arts

The Department aims to be one of the premier arts education providers in the region and is committed to sustain a creative and dynamic learning environment in Music and Visual Arts that promotes and supports high standards of professionalism in teaching, learning, research, and knowledge transfer. It aims to nurture skilled, knowledgeable, and caring graduates and empower them to achieve academic and artistic excellence in transformative roles as innovative educators, enterprising community-based arts practitioners, creative thinkers, and cultural leaders in the 21st Century.

We invite applications for the academic position in the area of music and/or music education. The appointee will participate in activities related to teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and community service. He/she will be responsible for contributing to curriculum/programme development at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and partaking in departmental activities and management.

Applicants should have a Doctoral Degree in related area with a strong track record of research and teaching. He/she is expected to be an active researcher, be able to conduct research that leads to publications in leading international journals, and successfully acquire external research grants, projects, and/or creative outputs.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
