Salary: £50,618 to £60,410 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance

The School of Geography at the University of Nottingham is committed to being a globally leading centre for the creation, dissemination, and application of geographical knowledge and understanding. As part of this commitment, the School is delighted to announce four job vacancies at Associate Professor and Assistant Professor (Research and Teaching) level.   • Geomorphology
  • Sustainability Science
  • Environmental Decision-Making and Stewardship

An Associate Professor will be expected to engage in research at an international level and to apply for external funding to enable development of new and independent research. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to teaching at all levels within the School, including lectures, tutorials and the supervision of dissertations and project work. A range of administrative duties to support the operation of the School will also be undertaken.

Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant subject area or equivalent extensive professional/research experience. Applicants should have extensive research and teaching experience with an established national and growing international reputation in their field. It is essential that applicants have demonstrated success in obtaining funding and have an extensive track record of published research.
