The Faculty of Social Science wishes to recruit an experienced Centre Administrator to deliver the highest quality administrative service to support the Economic and Social Research Council Doctoral Training Centre (ESRC DTC) and the Midlands Graduate School Economic and Social Research Council Doctoral Training Partnership (ESRC DTP). You will be a key member of the DTC and DTP management team, having responsibility for the effective management of the DTC, including financial management, personnel management, strategic direction and support for the coordination between academic staff. Additionally, you will manage and oversee the administrative transition from the Warwick DTC to the Midlands DTP, with specific responsibility for overseeing the Warwick based DTP student cohort.

You will be educated to Honours degree level or equivalent, and will have experience of working in a Higher Education (HE) sector. You must have experience of working in a role within a Social Science research organisation, preferably academic administration of research projects in a university setting.

You must have an up-to-date knowledge of the educational and training requirements for professional social scientists at postgraduate level and have the ability to keep abreast of developments in the field via training courses and briefing sessions on HE policies. Sound financial and personnel management skills are essential. You will have strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to converse with internal and external audiences. You will also have excellent oral and written communication skills and have experience in web design and social media content.
