Impact Funding Manager

The University is proud of the impact of its research, with our researchers tackling some of society’s most pressing challenges. We work in partnership with industry and other organisations across a broad range of collaborations, enabling the translation of research outputs into policies, products and services of benefit to business and society at large. 

Research and Innovation Services is now recruiting an Impact Funding Manager to take responsibility for the management, reporting and securing a portfolio of impact, translation, proof of concept and other funding schemes aimed at supporting of our knowledge exchange, commercialisation and impact acceleration activities.   

You will be responsible for a portfolio of internal funding schemes including RCUK Impact Acceleration Accounts and ensuring they are managed in line with the requirements of our external funders, to the University's enterprise strategy, to maximise impact of our research and to stimulate interactions between the University and corporate partners, SMEs, the non-profit sector and local government organisations. You will work with world-class researchers and external partners and manage these funding programmes to help shape collaborative opportunities, develop strong mutually beneficial partnerships and demonstrate return on investment.   

You will have strong commercial flair and excellent communication skills, be well-organised with the ability to multi-task and to work well as part of a virtual team. You will be a self-starter and enjoy the challenge of making things happen in a fast-moving environment. If you can handle all this and you have a relevant experience with a proven track record of programme funding management and knowledge exchange activities then we would like to hear from you.
