Assistant Lecturer in Accounting (2 positions) (re-advertisement)

The Opportunity

The appointee will teach one or more of the core areas of accounting, i.e. Financial Accounting, Auditing, Management Accounting, Information Systems, or Forensic Accounting at the undergraduate level. She/he will be expected to contribute to teaching through the various modes offered by the University. The appointee will also conduct individual and collaborative research leading to outputs in ranked accounting journals and participate in administrative and marketing activities of the School when required.

The Person We Seek

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • A PhD in Accounting from a recognised University with at least one ranked publication, tertiary teaching experience, and a demonstrated and active interest in research work.
  • OR in exceptional cases, a Masters qualification and QoR threshold of meeting the performance expectation of a Lecturer, some relevant tertiary teaching experience, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching (PGCTT) or equivalent.
  • To be considered applicants must be citizens of USP member countries (regional - due to funding limitations, we will only be able to consider citizens/candidates from USP Member Countries to be eligible to apply).

Remuneration
The position is available for a fixed-term of 3 years.

Salary Range: Assistant Lecturer FJD$54,195 to FJD$65,034 per annum.
